During a severe monsoon, the Narmada River burst its banks, threatening to submerge the cave where Guru Govinda Bhagavatpada sat in deep Samadhi. To protect his master, Shankara placed his Kamandalu (water pot) at the cave's entrance and chanted a scriptural command, miraculously trapping the vast floodwaters within the small vessel.
